On Wednesday, March 12th, we faced every art center’s worst nightmare—a devastating flood that left nearly the entire first floor underwater. An overnight malfunction occurred allowing fresh water to overflow due to a clogged pipe causing the extensive damage.
Thanks to the swift action of our dedicated staff and board, we reopened just 12 days later with fresh carpet, repaired drywall, clear pipes, and a fresh coat of paint. We couldn’t have done it without the patience and support of our incredible community of instructors, students, and artists.
While the refreshed space is a welcome sight, the financial burden remains. Our total restoration costs exceed our insurance by a substantial amount due to policy limitations.
Now, we’re turning to our community—the heart of our art center—to help us bridge the gap. Your support, in any amount, will make a meaningful impact in restoring our space and ensuring we continue to be a home for creativity, learning, and connection.
Every donation, big or small, helps us rebuild and move forward. We’re deeply grateful for your support during this challenging time.
