VAC Background
The Valley Art Center, Inc. is a community based, non-profit organization providing gallery exhibits, fine art and craft classes and diverse art programs to the greater Chagrin Valley. Our building houses a professional gallery, as well as facilities for pottery, photography, painting, jewelry, sculpture and other fine art and craft media. We are open year-round and offer the finest of the area’s working artists as instructors for both adults and young people. Our gallery presents original work of local and regional artists.
In addition to our gallery and class offerings, the Valley Art Center promotes a nationally recognized, juried fine arts and crafts festival, Art by the Falls, which is held the second weekend of every June at Riverside Park in Chagrin Falls. We attract over 110 artists from across the country who display artwork and demonstrate their talents along the banks of the scenic Chagrin River.
The Valley Art Center also works closely with other community groups by offering gallery talks, artist’s demonstrations, school programs, and field trips to noted national museums. Our membership consists of professional artists, novices, students, business people, and those who are interested in the culture and well-being of the community.
